Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 September 2026

This website, online-terapi.com, is operated by MEI Global Ltd, trading as the Meaning & Existence Institute (“we”, “us”). We are a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 17097701), 4 Raven Road, Unit 1C3-1106, London, United Kingdom, and we are the data controller for the personal data described here. This policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it and what your rights are. It is written in English because the company is governed by the law of the United Kingdom; the services themselves are offered in Turkish and German.

What we are, and what we are not. MEI Global Ltd provides professional counselling, consulting, supervision and training services on a private basis. We are not a healthcare provider, we do not provide medical services, we do not make medical diagnoses and we are not part of any public or private health-insurance system. Our services are not a substitute for medical or psychiatric care. The data we process is therefore the data of a professional consulting relationship, and we handle it with the confidentiality that such a relationship requires.

We do not sell, rent or share personal data for marketing, and nothing you tell us in a conversation is used for any purpose other than the service you have asked for.

1. What we collect and why

Visiting the website

The site is static. We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, advertising cookies or any cookies set by us. The pages load a typeface from Google Fonts; when they do, your browser sends a request to Google’s servers, which may record your IP address. Google’s privacy policy applies to that request. If you prefer to avoid it, your browser can block third-party font loading; the site remains readable.

Contacting us

If you write to us by e-mail (info@psikosentez.com) or WhatsApp, we process the contact details and the content you send in order to reply and, where relevant, to arrange a first conversation. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and, from the moment you ask for a session, the steps necessary to enter into a contract with you (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)). WhatsApp is operated by Meta Platforms; messages are end-to-end encrypted, but metadata is processed by Meta under its own terms. If you would rather not use WhatsApp, e-mail or a video call arranged by e-mail is always available.

The training mailing list

The form on the training page asks for your name, e-mail address, profession and a few lines about yourself. We use this only to tell you when a training group opens. The lawful basis is your consent, which you give by submitting the form and can withdraw at any time by e-mailing us; we will then delete your entry. The form is delivered to us through FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), a form-forwarding service that transmits your entry to our mailbox and does not retain it beyond what is technically necessary for delivery. Your details are stored in our mailbox and a simple list; they are not shared with anyone else.

Counselling, consulting and supervision

If you become a client, we process the data needed to provide and account for the service: your name, contact details, the language and time zone you work in, appointment records, invoicing and payment data, and whatever you choose to tell us during our conversations. The lawful basis is the performance of our contract with you (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) and our legal obligations in relation to accounting (Art. 6(1)(c)). Where you decide to share information about your health, family, beliefs or other sensitive matters, we process it only because you have chosen to share it with us and have given your explicit consent by doing so (Art. 9(2)(a)); we never ask for medical records, and we do not create health records. Any notes we keep are brief working notes, stored on encrypted devices, never shared with third parties and deleted as described below. Supervision clients describe their own cases to us in anonymised form; we ask that no identifying details of third parties are shared, and we do not keep records of supervision content.

Sessions take place by video (Zoom or WhatsApp video). We do not record sessions. The video providers process connection data under their own privacy policies; Zoom sessions are set up with waiting rooms and passcodes.

Payments

Invoices are issued by MEI Global Ltd. Payments are handled by Stripe, Wise or your bank; we receive confirmation of payment and the details needed for accounting, but we do not see or store your full card details. The payment providers process your data under their own privacy policies.

2. How long we keep data

Because we are a professional consulting business and not a healthcare provider, we are not subject to medical-record retention rules, and we do not keep your data for the long periods those rules require. We keep data only as long as a professional consulting relationship and UK company law make necessary.

Enquiries that do not lead to a working relationship are deleted within twelve months. Contract and invoicing data (name, contact details, dates of sessions, invoices, payment confirmations) are kept for six years after the end of the financial year in which the last invoice was issued, as required for accounting purposes and to answer any question about the engagement, and are then deleted. Working notes, where any exist, are kept only for the duration of the engagement and are securely deleted within twelve months of its end. Mailing-list entries are kept until you withdraw consent or until the list is discontinued. Data held by third-party providers (video, payment, form delivery) is retained according to their own policies.

3. Who we share data with

We do not sell or share personal data for marketing. Data is shared only with the service providers named above (Google Fonts, Meta/WhatsApp, Zoom, FormSubmit, Stripe, Wise, our e-mail and hosting providers), each acting as a processor or as an independent controller under its own terms; with our accountant, to the extent needed for bookkeeping; and with authorities where the law requires it. Where a provider processes data outside the United Kingdom, the transfer relies on the UK adequacy regulations or on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement / standard contractual clauses.

Confidentiality has legal limits. In the rare situation of an imminent risk of serious harm to you or to another person, we may be required to contact emergency services. We would always try to discuss this with you first.

4. Your rights

Under the UK GDPR and, where applicable, the EU GDPR, you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you; to have inaccurate data corrected; to ask for data to be deleted; to restrict or object to processing; to receive data you gave us in a portable format; and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. To exercise any of these rights, e-mail info@psikosentez.com. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). If you live in the European Union, you may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

5. Security

Data is stored on password-protected, encrypted devices and in accounts secured with two-factor authentication. E-mail is not a fully secure medium; please do not send us more sensitive information by e-mail than you are comfortable with, and tell us if you would prefer another channel.

6. Children and young people

We work with young people from the age of ten only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who is our contractual counterpart and to whom this policy applies. We do not knowingly collect data from children through this website.

7. Changes and contact

We may update this policy from time to time; the date at the top shows the current version. Questions about this policy or about your data: MEI Global Ltd, 4 Raven Road, Unit 1C3-1106, London, United Kingdom · info@psikosentez.com.
